Bollywood at the 17th Cannes Film Festival

The highlight during Cannes film festival (for Indian fans!) was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who made yet another style statement and was accompanied by her daughter Aaradhaya. A score of other Bollywood celebs walked the red carpet, including Deepika Padukone, Sonam Kapoor and Huma Qureshi. Nawazuddin Siddique was there for the film ‘Manto’, Kangana Ranaut made her debut at Cannes too, besides Mahira Khan and Jim Sarbh were spotted too.

Sonam Kapoor’s looks were much appreciated; she looked pretty in her denim outfit and also elegantly walked the ramp in a nude colour gown with a quirky train. Kangana didn’t go unnoticed either with her supple look.
Mallika Sherawat, who is the ambassador for International NGO “Free a Girl India”, that aims at fighting human trafficking and commercial exploitation of children, took it up to herself to raise awareness and was a part of ‘Free A Girl’s Lock-Me-Up Campaign’, the actor locked herself in a 12×8 feet small cage at Cannes to bring global attention on the issue!

Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone rock at the Met Gala, 2018
Priyanka Chopra has never failed to impress her fans. This time she showed her new avatar in a completely handcrafted outfit, with Swaravski crystals, detailed beadwork, and embroidery at the Met Gala. The Met Gala this year was themed “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” held at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, and Priyanka stunned in a custom Ralph Lauren creation in a ‘Mother Mary fashion’.

Not just Priyanka, even Deepika Padukone was present at the Gala. Deepika wore a red off-shoulder draped dress designed by Prabal Gurung gown, heels and diamond earrings complimented her outfit. Deepika was criticized by some for not adhering to the theme! This however is a part of the game- criticism from some and praise from others. Well, we loved both girls equally at Gala!
