How did you start your journey as an artist?
It was not something planned, but my journey as an artist started when I figured (while doing my elementary and intermediate exams) that painting gives my life a purpose and it is something that I would love to do in major part of my day.
From where do you get all the inspiration?
There is nothing specific that inspires me for painting. Sometimes it is a scenery that I would want to paint†and on other times it is someone’s face that catches my interest and I would sketch it. At times it is some new art form that intrigues me.
Have you learnt any art formally?
Yes, I have learnt many forms of†art. Some of them are fluid art, portraits, fabric painting, glass painting, and wall painting with organic colours, acrylic and oil painting on canvas. Also, I am trying my art on different products like bulb wood slice. My artwork ranges from human portraits to fabric painting and fluid art.
How did you discover your inclination towards painting?
There was a period in my life when I was confused with what I want to do with my life, like concentrate on academics or pursue my passion for painting. But after rigorous thinking and rounds of discussion with my parents I finally chose painting as the purpose of my life and after that I have been leaned towards painting only.
What is your philosophy in life?
I believe that Hard work, persistence and Gratitude in every phase of your life can make you reach great heights.
What does art mean to you?
Art means the world to me. It has my heart.
Did your parents support you in your endeavours?
Yes, absolutely! They are my pillars of support and have always encouraged and guided me to follow and achieve my dreams and goals in life.
What is your daily routine like?
I attend different types of art classes every day to improve my skills and to learn new forms of art as there is so much in the world of art for me to learn. I also spend a minimum of around 3-4 hours painting and sketching.
One thing you cannot live without?
I cannot live without my parents and my friends. They inspire me to make more art and live happily. There is nothing I would want more when they are around.
Any interesting memory from your childhood that you still remember?
The one memory I can never forget in my life is that I was caught playing with my sibling’s paints and I had painted myself all over. I was just 5 and everyone assumed that one day I will end up being an artist and look where I am today. I still love playing with colours.
Favourite artist and why?
My favourite artist is the iconic Mexican artist Frida Kahlo She is someone I look up to and wish to be like. Even after being handicapped she didn’t give up and pursued her passion for painting. Her portraits are some of the most beautiful portraits I have ever seen.
What relationship do you see between different forms of arts you do?
They are all unique and different in their own way!
What is your life Mantra?
My mantra for life is ‘To Live in the Moment’.
