U.S President Donald Trump has arrived in Ahmedabad today with his family. He is accompanied by his wife Melania Trump, Trump, his daughter Ivanka and son-in-law Jared Kushner.
But the mother-daughter duo has already garnered attention for her choices of attires. Melania Trump chose to wear a white collared jumpsuit accessorised with a green shash belt around her waist. Melania’s suit has been designed by Atelier Caito For Herve Pierre. The white suit that she has worn has a desi touch in it as the green sash is actually inspired and apparently cut out of an ancient Indian textile with gold thread work. The designer has even posted a sketch of the same on his official Instagram account. Mrs Trump has also previously displayed multiple times a clear preference for white, and this colour features quite frequently in her wardrobe as well.
Contrary to her mother’s dress choice but also keeping it subtle, Ivanka Trump chose to wear a powder blue dress with a big red floral pattern on it. The dress reportedly costs around 1.7 lakhs. She styled it with red pumps and statement earrings. Ivanka had already worn this dress before during her trip to Argentina last year. She has worn the same Proenza Schouler midi dress with a V-neck tie hanging detail. For her choice of attire, she is already hailing a lot of praises for her conscious choice of support towards sustainable fashion. Usually, celebrities are not seen repeating their outfits but Ivanka is bringing heavily praised for doing so and supporting the trend of sustainable fashion.
The US First Lady’s fashion choices are often subject to close public scrutiny. It is believed that she often selects her clothes without assistance, relying on her own taste rather than stylists and personal shoppers. Ms Trump also seems to display a clear preference for white, and the colour features frequently in her wardrobe.
