Met Gala 2020 has been postponed this year and we can’t be more upset about it. Every year around this time, the event and its preparations already start and all wait for the event to happen. All around the world, people are excited to witness the greatest fashion gala held with the top celebrities dressed in the biggest of the fashion brands like Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren, Tom Ford, Tommy Hilfiger, Gucci, Dolce & Gabbana etc.
Vogue said in its latest edition that: Colloquially and affectionately referred to as “fashion’s biggest night out,” the Met Gala 2020 is a pinnacle of iconic style. A fundraising benefit for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New
York City, the event welcomes celebrity stars, young creatives, and industry paragons alike. And the excitement doesn’t stop there—the gala also signifies the highly anticipated grand opening of the Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibition: “About Time: Fashion and Duration” opening on May 7, 2020.
The biggest fashion this year has been cancelled due to the spread of the coronavirus. The event that was supposed on be held on May 7 will be held after some time when the situation gets normalised. Vogue every year in the first week of May organises the Met Gala which is a fundraising gala and the whole world is glued to watch the event and see their favourite celebrities dressed up in the best of the clothes. This year’s theme of the event is About Time: Fashion and Duration.

‘Camp: Notes on Fashion’ was the theme for the last year and the celebs totally aced it. The event held to raise money goes for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York.

chief since 1988 of Vogue has confirmed that the event has been postponed following the instructions given to follow the preventive measures until further notice but they will come out with an official date soon after the world gets back to normal.
