Call of the Hills: A Journey into Serenity and Adventure

The hills have a unique way of calling out to those who seek tranquility, adventure, and a deep connection with nature. Whether you’re an avid traveler craving the serene embrace of misty mountains, a nature enthusiast longing for the crisp, fresh air, or someone who finds solace in the peacefulness of the hills, there’s something undeniably magical about these elevated landscapes.

Barog, Himachal Pradesh
Barog falls under Solan district of Himachal Pradesh. Barog tunnel is the longest of the 103 operational tunnels on the 1143.61 mt-long Shimla-Kalka Railway tracks. Barog station, located at the end of the tunnel, is itself a tourist attraction. Dolanji Bon Monastery, Choor Chandni Peak, Barog camping ground are a few of the scenic locales to soak in for under Rs 10,000.

Chail, Himachal Pradesh
The Chail Palace was built by the Maharaja of Patiala on the land allotted to him by the British for his assistance in the Anglo-Nepalese war. It is well known for its intricate architecture. The Chail cricket and polo ground, situated at an altitude of 2,250 metres above the sea level is the world’s highest cricket ground. Chail Sanctuary, Kali ka tibba, Lovers point, Junga are the places worth a visit.

Kangojodi, Himachal Pradesh
If you feel one with nature, then Kangojodi in Sirmour district of Himachal Pradesh is the place to lose yourself in. A natural spring-water stream winding its way through the 7km pine forest area home to some rare species of flora and fauna and the fresh air that is a rare commodity in most of the toxic Indian cities should be enough reasons for packing your bags for Kangojodi.

Distance from Delhi: 273. 7 km (5 hours, 44 min via NH 44)
Stay: Camp Roxx, which is an adventure camp.

Rishikesh, Uttarakhand
Rishikesh is a famous tourist destination, especially with foreigners. Situated beside the Ganges, it is a perfect destination for the adrenaline junkies. A melting pot of various religious discourses, Rishikesh has turned into a haven for the spiritual and the yoga practitioners.

Distance from Chandigarh: 212.0 Km (5 hours, 53 min)
Stay: Hotel Yog Vashishth, Hotel Ganesha Inn, and much more.

Lansdowne, Uttarakhand
One of the most well preserved hill stations in India is not a huge tourist attraction due to less popularity. It was founded by Britishers as a military garrison. A beautiful and peaceful place you visit under 10 thousand. The best way to reach here is to get on a bus to Kotdwar, a town from 50 km from Landsdowne.

Distance from Delhi: 265.9 km (6 hours)
Stay: Blue Pine Resort, Fairydale resort, and Le Osh Hotel.
