How did you start your journey as a musician?

I was three year old when my mother accidentally found that I can sing. She used to hear Sufi songs and I somehow picked the rhythm. She got me enrolled to classical singing classes and then there was no looking back.

Who is your inspiration and mentors?

Indian singers-Arijit Singh and Shreya Goshal are among my favourites.
International singers-Ariana Grande and Ed Sheeran.

What, according to you, should be the source of inspiration or driving force for young generation who wants to follow their passion?

If you are really passionate about something that in itself, is a source of inspiration. I would like to tell people of my generation that be consistent, follow your heart and do what makes you happy.

Your Favourite singers?

Shreya Ghoshal and Arijit Singh inspire me the most.

Have you taken any professional classes to learn music?

Yes, I have taken professional training. I am also pursuing music minor in my college where I am getting training for Indian classical.

How did you find yourself lean towards music after all?

I feel I was born to sing. Music heals me, music is a stress reliever for me and it gives me happiness. The only thing I see myself doing in future is music. My parents have been a major support in pursuing my passion. Rather, all decisions about music are planned with them.

What is your daily routine like?

I have my vacations going on these days. I get up around 10, do my morning vocal warm up and then go for my music production class. I reach home by 2, post lunch; I go for my dance class. Later, I do my vocal exercises, spend time with my family and finish my college work.

Any interesting memory from childhood you still remember?

I have vivid memories of this incident when I was about 6 years old. I used to hear Gayatri Mantra every day in our home. So once, I was playing this teacher and student game with my young cousins and I began teaching all of them Gayatri Mantra. After one hour, all of them were chanting the mantra and my whole family was super impressed.

What is your life Mantra?

It is to follow my passion always, be grateful for everything in life and to work hard towards my dreams.

What is your biggest achievement so far?

It is when Speed Records share a few of my videos on its YouTube channel.

Share something about some philanthropic activities you are involved in?

I taught young cancer patients at an NGO Sahayta and worked with them for over 2 years. During the time, I participated in street plays and in fund raising stalls and events to spread awareness and raise funds. I am also the trustee of a registered NGO- Spend For A Cause (SFAC). One of our projects was ‘Triyaî – based on menstrual hygiene. We collaborated with a UK based NGO Binti.period in the project as well.
