One of the fastest growing industries is undoubtedly the fashion industry with styles and trends evolving with the speed of lightning. Every designer tries to add a new dimension in the fashion world. From ruffles to colors to sheer to just-one-shoulder, runways were over flowing with versatile trends. The color palette included vibrant colors as well as dreamy colors, straight out of the bedroom. The elite brand list included Lanvin, Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Stella McCartney, Burberry, Rahul Mishra, Alexander Mcqueen, Ralph Lauren, Dior, DKNY and Miu Miu amongst others. Here are the major trends for fall as seen in The Paris Fashion Week:
Sheer – Leaving no room for imagination, this year’s hit was sheer. Well, Kim Kardashian had already started off a trend with see through tops or no bra-blouses, earlier this month. Seems like the leading brands too fell in love with this style! Mono boob- revealing one boob while covering the other one, completely transparent blouses, going bra less all the way- was an instant hit on the runway.
Clean and Natural look – Fresh-face look was in this fashion week along with youthful beauty look. Nude makeup giving a clean, bare face with sleek shiny hairstyles is going to be a hit! Celebrities including Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner sported this look on the Gambattista Valli and Givenchy runway.
Pinks and Reds – Paris was filled with shades of red and pink. Pastel pinks, hot pinks, dreamy pinks, bright reds and dark reds were a major attraction. Some of the designers who displayed these colors include Valentino, Saint Laurent and Celine.
Glitter and metallic touch– This fashion week showed off glitter in every way possible exceeding our imagination. Glittered eyebrows, lips, eye lids and nipples. Well, you heard us right! Glittery Nipple stickers were all over the runway. Seems like many of the designers were inspired from Miley Cyrus who has been spotted wearing nipple stickers in the past. Glitter lips were seen at DKNY whereas glitter eye shadow was seen at Marc Jacobs. Apart from this, metallic dresses, jackets were also shown by many brands.
Frills and puffy sleeves – Gone are the days of fitted sleeves! This season is all about airy, plus sized sleeves. High neck frill shirts teamed up with cargos, one off-shoulder puff and frill covered dresses. Some designers who showed frills in their collection included Lanvin and Andrew GN. So, frills are one of those trends you would not want to give a miss this season! Puffy sleeves were also an instant hit with designers like Alexander Wang, Louis Vuitton, Manish Arora and Sonia Rykiel amongst others. This season is all about going back to the past!
