Nineteen-year-old author, actor and filmmaker Nikasha Luthra launched her latest novel, Lost and Found in Kashmir, at Chandigarh’s Mini Tagore Theatre. The book was unveiled by chief guest Dr. Sumita Misra, IAS, along with special guests Lt Gen KJS Dhillon (Retd.) and Dr. Manmohan Singh, IPS (Retd.).
Hosted by The Narrators Performing Arts Society (India), the event blended literature, theatre and cinema with a short film inspired by the novel and live performances by its cast.
Inspired by the emotional aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack, the novel follows Heer and Kabir as they navigate loss, love and healing against the backdrop of Kashmir. Nikasha said she hopes the book encourages empathy and highlights Kashmir’s humanity, culture and resilience.
The launch was attended by writers, artists, students and literature enthusiasts, celebrating storytelling and creative expression.
