As the summer makes its way, you might be worried about those extra kilos you have put on during winters! Here are some quick tips to remind you how to get back in shape these summers to help you fit in your formals or your favourite attire.
Know your workout schedules – Regular exercise is a must for a fit body. But more important is to know which technique of exercise can suit our body and lifestyles. For instance, if you are into all day sitting job, a rigorous one hour a day workout would be needed To reach your activity levels. But if you are already into fieldwork, half an hour of the brisk walk would be good to go. When you exercise regularly modified with your daily routines, food energy can be used for the activity rather than stored as fat. The idea is to “Live an active life”, which is full of physical activity!
Don’t eat less, eat fewer calories – What we eat determines how we look and feel. To get a fit body, you need to burn more calories than you eat. Exercising burns down calories. But remember that eating less and eating fewer calories are two completely different things. You can eat a lot of selected clean food and still end up eating fewer calories and vice-versa. Eating less would end up in poor energy during your workout sessions. The best way is to indulge in clean eating insufficient and the right quantity to activate your energy and workout levels. The body will automatically appear to be lean and slender.
Keep a balance between exercise and diet – Don’t punish your legs for something wrong your mouth did. For a fit body, eat that much that your body requires and not that which your heart desires! Over-exercising will never accommodate your overeating. Similarly diet smarter and not harder. Eating less can never become a replacement of being lazy and ignorant to hit the gym. Also, fad diets and hours of running on the treadmill won’t give any benefit. A right and moderate combination of both diet and exercise will help you the most to achieve your target goals.
Boost up your metabolism – Spike your metabolism! If you eat the same amount of calories a day in and day out, your body will get used to that specific amount of calories resulting in a slower metabolism. Give it something to work with and eat more calories once every week or two. Your metabolism will then speed up over the week as a result.
Try it! Get 7 to 9 hours of sleep per night – One very important tip for getting a perfect summer body that many people don’t consider is getting adequate sleep every night. Sleep will allow your body to recover from rigorous exercise, which is how your muscles will repair themselves and grow. Lacking sleep also makes your body experience more weight gain. This can come from your hormonal balance being disrupted, causing you to experience excessive hunger and cravings. It can also make it harder for your body to burn fat. Be sure to get 7 to 9 hours of sleep a night.
Eat slowly – Did you know that it takes 20 minutes for your stomach to tell your brain that you are full? Slow eating has been seen as an extremely effective method of reducing weight. When we eat slowly, we not only assimilate the nutrients in a proper manner but also enhance our metabolic rate. Large chunks of food are not easily digested in the system, thereby proving to be mere roughage in our body. This roughage is hard to excrete from the body and reduces metabolic rate drastically.
Eat slow! Be mentally fit – Always remember that a person can only be physically fit if he or she is first mentally fit. Love your body. Don’t discourage or torture it for being out of shape or not as per your desires. Only if you respect your present body then only it will respond back to your efforts with good results and respect. Instead of cribbing, imagine you’re safe to be already-fit and then enjoy your fitness journey. You will take no time to reach your destination! Most importantly meditate every day and practice breathing techniques. It will help you handle your mind effectively!
