Beyond your work as an advocate, beyond your identity as Sushma ji’s daughter, who is Bansuri Swaraj in your personal life? How do you define your personality?
Bansuri Swaraj is a human being who is as common as everyone else. As some may perceive, I am not the daughter of Sushma Swaraj, the leader, but I am the daughter of an amazing mother, Sushma Swaraj. I pledge to work for the welfare of my country and people.
Even as you have been associated with BJP’s legal cell for the last 10 years, entering active politics means giving up on many things in one’s personal life and personal space. You have seen that in your family. Are you prepared for the demanding days ahead?
With the blessings of Lord Shree Krishna, I am always prepared for any situation in my life.
You have graduated from Oxford and the University of Warwick; what changes did learning overseas bring in your personality and perception?
Education for everyone is a learning experience; it was the same for me.
What was the best quality about your mother that you look back and admire the most? Also, something special that you have learned from your father.
From my mom, I learnt to be fearless and give my best, leaving the results in Krishna’s hands. My father taught me that ‘nothing in life is the end of the road, so keep persevering’.
If you win the LS elections, how do you plan to stay connected with people to resolve their routine issues and problems? Any connect or open meetings that you plan to hold?
We will devise a mechanism of Digital Governance through which we shall be connected with the public directly 24×7. I will try my best to reach out to my constituents with Modi ji ki Guarantee. Mantra of Antodya in our minds; A Viksit Bharat under the leadership of Modi ji is our goal. Helping everyone get the benefit of welfare schemes launched by the Central Government will be my mission.
Given the competitive political landscape, how do you differentiate yourself from other candidates in your constituency?
