Achieving success is easy whereas maintaining it is harder. So is the case with weight maintenance.

Have you achieved your ideal weight and do you really want stay in shape always? If the answer to these questions is yes, you really need to know ways to maintain weight.

All you need to understand is that consistency is the key, nothing can be achieved without it. So, here are a few things that you can do to maintain your goal weight:

Exercise
To enjoy the glow of good health, you must exercise. The more you exercise, the more calories you burn, which is important to achieve and maintain a healthy weight and body. Exercising also strengthens muscles, improves brain function, enhances immunity and reduces aging.

Healthy Eating
Maintaining and reducing weight obviously has a lot to do with what you eat. You do not have to starve yourself just to reduce weight rather it’s about providing the right amount of nutrients and minerals to your body through the right food sources. Once you have reduced weight by following diet recommended by a nutritionist, it’s important to keep up with the same eating routine. You should also avoid temptations and binge eating because they are both enemies of healthy weight.

Write it Down
By writing down everything you ate during the day, you will be able to ensure that you don’t over-eat. There is nothing better than maintaining a journal about the intake of calories during the day and planning your diet in advance.

Don’t Skip Breakfast
Just say no to even a minor thought of skipping breakfast. Always start your day with a healthy breakfast. Addition of fresh and seasonal fruits to your breakfast menu is the tastiest and the healthiest way to start with your day.

Weigh Yourself Regularly
By weighing you make yourself aware of the progress or the fallbacks so that you can encourage yourself to take various weight control measures. Also, people who weigh themselves regularly tend to take fewer calories during the day, which is very helpful in maintaining weight loss.

Stay Hydrated
By drinking a glass or two of water before meals, you can keep yourself fuller. As a result, you will consume few calories. Also, drinking water has shown to slightly increase the number of calories you burn throughout the day.
