Sheryl is rooted firmly in the landscape of fashion. For her, life is a constant ramp walk. Here, she talks on how modelling have always been a driving force in her life and career.

What made you turn to modelling? Walk us through your initial days in the industry?
I wanted to be a stylist. So, I started shooting what I style on myself. Slowly I started enjoying modelling and creating interesting pictures. Kanika Karvinkop, owner of nobordersshop, being a family friend asked me to model for her store and after which I started getting more offers.

How would you sum up your journey?
It’s been a rough ride but you only learn to sail by getting into the sea.

What is the best beauty advice you’ve ever gotten?
Drink lots of water and no dairy when fighting acne.

What did you want to be while growing up?
A singer

What, for you, is the best thing about your profession?
I love creating interesting images; it’s like making a painting. Putting in different elements and see how each complements another.

Who has been the biggest influence in your life?
Everything around me has an influence and I choose what to take and what not. Nobody in particular.

Is there a beauty tip that you follow religiously?
It is not a beauty tip but a hygiene tip. I use fresh lemon juice as a deodorant, it kills bacteria and prevents odour.

What made modelling a significant part of your life?
I was always into arts as a kid and modelling as a career allows me to explore that constantly.

If you had to describe your journey in one sentence, what would that be?
We can achieve so much if we just observe.

What, qualities, according to you are necessary to sustain in modelling world?
It is most important to be yourself and stay humble.

A fashion trend you are currently obsessed with?
Denim, prints and hair bands. Slowly getting inclined towards accessories.

An overused hashtag you’d never use
Not very into hashtags but maybe #likeforlike and # followforfollow

What is your next holiday destination?
Going to the magnetic fields festival
